Scott Evans, MS
Executive Director and Chief Development Officer

Scott is a seasoned higher education and non-profit executive with 29 years of experience. He has served in vice president and director roles at Youngstown State University, NEOMED which is the medical and pharmacy school for several public institutions in northeast Ohio, Lake Erie College, Edward Waters University and United Way of Greater Stark County.

Scott and his teams have achieved record levels of philanthropy generating more than $110 million, unprecedented institutional awareness through effective marketing and public relations campaigns, and outstanding alumni and constituent engagement by building strong relationships. He has worked with high-net-worth individuals and families across the country helping them achieve their philanthropic goals. He considers this to be a great honor and values the relationships with donors and their advisors he has resulting from this work. Scott has significant administrative, financial and investment experience. He was a presidential speechwriter and has served 10 university presidents throughout his career.

Scott earned a master’s degree in accounting from Kent State University, a bachelor’s degree in management from Malone University and was a leadership scholar at Arizona State University where he studied aerospace engineering. He is also a graduate of the National Planned Giving Institute at the College of William and Mary. Scott has been a consultant and past member of several boards of charitable organizations and is always glad to help when and where he can. He is a commercial drone pilot and enjoys hiking and fishing.

Scott and his wife, Meg, live in Jacksonville, Florida. Their daughter, Katie, is a nurse; and their son, Zach, is a business analyst.

Beth Wolpoff, MSW
Director of Development

Beth Wolpoff is an established development professional with 27 years of experience, most recently serving as annual and legacy giving manager at River Garden Senior Services in Jacksonville. She has served in director and managerial roles at Samuel Field YM and WHA in Little Neck, NY; United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ; Jewish Women International in Washington, D.C.; and, Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia. Wolpoff earned a master’s degree in social work from Virginia Commonwealth University and a bachelor’s degree in Jewish and Judaic studies from George Washington University. She is also a member of the Planned Giving Council of Northeast Florida and Association of Fundraising Professionals, FL First Coast Chapter.

Shironda Jones, MBA
Administrative Assistant and Donor Database Administrator

Shironda Jones is a high-level executive administrator and development professional with 18 years of experience, most recently serving as donor relations specialist at YMCA of Florida’s First Coast in Jacksonville. She has served in executive assistant and related roles at YMCA of Greater Cleveland; “THE WORD” Church in Cleveland, OH; and, Cuyahoga County Ombudsman Office in Cleveland, OH. Jones earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in communication from Cleveland State University.
